Floresco Design Creations has temporarily closed its doors.

My husband and I are happily expecting our second child, due in the spring of 2008. While I love capturing and preserving all of your memories, and look forward to doing so again in the future, I'm sure you will agree that taking time to create those memories is even more important. With that in mind, I have decided to temporarily close my business to allow me to spend more time with my family and prepare for our upcoming addition.

I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, especially during the holiday season. I hope to reopen Floresco's doors once again in late summer to early fall and when I do, I hope that you all have also captured your own special memories which we can use to create some priceless Floresco Design Creations.

If you would like to be notified when Floresco reopens its doors, please email us!!
... my dream. I am an artist, a wife, a mother and forever, a dreamer. Floresco Design Creations is me, Stacy L. Tichenor.

Floresco Design Creations was born out of a love for art, life and the preservation of family history. My academic background ranges from fine arts and graphic design to business and the study of human behavior. My hobbies allow me to immerse myself in the mystery of family history and find my creative outlet in scrapbooking and the arts. I have worked in various careers in the years since I graduated from college, but always, I return to art. It is my passion.

I have been designing decorative framing for my friends and family for several years, but only recently did I decide to take the chance and turn it into something more. My inspiration began with the birth of my son, Alexander, and the beauty and wonder that he brought into my husband and I's life. For the holidays this past year, we decided to have Alexander's picture taken professionally and give the photos as gifts to our family members. But when we got the photographs back, they were simply too wonderful to frame with just any frame. I wanted them to be special, to reflect the personality of our son and the special bond he shares with each person who received this gift. I sought out sayings that would reflect these relationships and papers and embellishments that brought the themes to life. The result of this project was my very first set of Floresco Design Creations, which are viewable in the Pregnancy, Birth & Childhood Gallery.

I feel as if everything that I have done in my life thus far has somehow contributed to the formation of this business and it is my hope that I can continue to build and expand Floresco Design Creations, creating and adding new items as I go. I would love, one day, to be able to stay at home and spend more time with my son and I hope that taking this chance might be my first step.

Floresco is my dream; my leap of faith. Floresco is Latin for to begin to blossom, and it is with the creation of Floresco Design Creations that I myself have begun to bloom.
